This class meets on Saturdays, October 4, 11, and 18, 2025 (3 sessions) | 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Designed for both beginners and advanced photographers, this 3-week workshop offers a supportive environment for students to become more deliberate in their photography, whether using cameras or smartphones.
Participants will be guided on how to adjust their settings to achieve the effects they desire. The workshop also includes a collaborative component, where everyone will have the opportunity to share their photographs and discuss the intended impressions and outcomes.
This course does not cover materials or film processing. Any operating camera: digital DSLR, point and shoot, film camera, or smartphones are all welcome.
This class is not designed for students younger than 16-years-old.
Instructor bio: Ash Llanes uses a combination of digital and film photography to express their love for the steaming nature that is Florida. Ash received their BFA in Fine Art Photography at George Washington University’s Corcoran School of Design. Ash has a passion for darkroom photography, alternative processes, bookmaking, portraiture, studio lighting, and the history of photography.
