This course serves as an introduction to bookbinding and collaging. Over three weeks, you will learn how to create a pamphlet stitch and a coptic bind. Collaging, inspired by natural patterns—whether abstract or concrete—offers an easy and fun way to express your creativity. This class provides the compositional and technical tools needed to develop a foundational understanding of both bookbinding and collaging.
This class is not designed for students younger than 16-years-old.

Instructor bio: Ash Llanes uses a combination of digital and film photography to express their love for the steaming nature that is Florida. Ash received their BFA in Fine Art Photography at George Washington University’s Corcoran School of Design. Ash has a passion for darkroom photography, alternative processes, bookmaking, portraiture, studio lighting, and the history of photography.
