Under the direction of Carlos Gallostra you will develop dynamic illustrative compositions from life in watercolor and color pencil. Learn and master techniques including layering, burnishing, and color mixing. All levels are welcome!
BIOGRAPHY: Carlos Gallostra is a representational artist whose practice has been shaped under numerous celebrated mentors in the U.S. and Italy throughout the years. Carlos holds a B.F.A. from the New World School of the Arts (NWSA) of Miami, as well as an M.F.A. and an M.S. from the Pratt Institute of New York. In addition, he has furthered his studies at various ateliers, academies, and museums throughout the U.S. and abroad. Carlos has collectively taught visual arts for the past 18 years at numerous institutions, including the NWSA, the University of Miami, Florida International University and the Fairchild Botanic Tropical Garden as well as worked privately with many students. Next to crafting his personal work, Carlos takes great joy in imparting ideas, approaches, and helping his students find their voices in the visual arts.
