Photography Workshop: Intention and Technique with Ash Lanes

Designed for both beginners and advanced students, this workshop encourages participants to be intentional when photographing with cameras or smartphones. Students will receive guidance on hardware settings to help achieve their desired effect. After a brief instructional session, the class will head into the Garden to practice these techniques, explore different photographic styles, and ask questions along the way.
Materials Needed
This course does not cover materials or film processing.
- Any digital DSLR, point and shoot or film camera
- Smart phones are also welcome.
Instructor bio: Ash Llanes uses a combination of digital and film photography to express their love for the steaming nature that is Florida. Ash received their BFA in Fine Art Photography at George Washington University’s Corcoran School of Design. Ash has a passion for darkroom photography, alternative processes, bookmaking, portraiture, studio lighting, and the history of photography.
