Bring two of your favorite clear glass vessels that will compliment your space. Please note that the glass vessels are not included in the ticket. We provide mosses, soil, a variety of plants, and other materials you might need.

We recommend large-size glass vessels, up to about 10 inches in diameter.

 We will discuss how to care for your terrarium to keep it healthy for the long term, including general maintenance as well as how to choose growing lights and lightbulbs.

Instructor bio: Omar Ananías, a mindfulness and art therapist born in Peru, often reflects, "The forest is my only influencer." Two decades ago, he began studying permaculture, which led him to co-found the Peruvian Permaculture Institute. Working with the native communities of the Amazon rainforest, Omar learns from them and weaves their wisdom into his therapeutic approach, viewing life through the eyes of nature. His workshops on mindfulness and art therapy with gardens and nature began with the most vulnerable and stigmatized populations in various countries where he volunteered, collaborating with several nonprofit organizations. Over time, these workshops have gained recognition as a powerful means of achieving mental, emotional, and physical well-being, while also promoting sustainable social change.
