Tuesdays, June 9 - 16, 2026 | 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm (2 Sessions)

Join us and take on the challenge of completing a painting in one session! Designed for the beginner/intermediate student in mind (age 12+), this workshop will focus on quickly sketching a master copy of floral studies created by 19th century artists Monet, Van Gogh, Cassatt and other fellow Impressionists.

Under the guidance of Carlos Gallostra, you will be able to paint in a direct and loose manner, while within the same breath, grasp a stronger understanding in principles of design, color theory, and composition. Students may choose to interpret their master copy in a wide range of media, including oil, acrylic, as well as pastel.

Instructor biography: Carlos Gallostra is a representational artist whose practice has been shaped under numerous celebrated mentors in the U.S. and Italy throughout the years. He holds a B.F.A. from the prestigious New World School of the Arts of Miami as well as an M.F.A. and an M.S. from the Pratt Institute of New York. In addition, he has furthered his studies at various ateliers, academies, and museums throughout the U.S. and abroad. Next to crafting his work, he takes great joy in imparting ideas, approaches, and helping his students find their voices in the arts.
