In this three-session class, we will explore the beauty and building blocks of watercolor. The class is designed for individuals with a background in watercolor ranging from a little experience to many years of painting. Each session begins with a focused lesson, followed by a longer open studio segment where students work on their individual paintings. We close the class by sharing what we have worked on that day.
The focused lesson explores the building blocks of the painting process: the significance of value, composition, color theory, watercolor techniques, and planning your painting. We'll also look at various artists throughout history to see how they approach watercolor painting. I look forward to sharing in the joy of painting together and growing in our practice!
