Fairchild is planting rare, native orchids throughout South Florida to re-establish species that grew here more than a century ago.

This is our Million Orchid Project.

Thousands of local schoolchildren, volunteers, and scientists are working together to propagate and plant the native orchids throughout South Florida. The Million Orchid Project is unique in its large scale, its focus on urban landscapes, and its involvement of the local community.

Your support to The Million Orchid Project provides for students and volunteers the opportunity to continue reintroducing a million native orchids. We’ve already reintroduced 500,000 to South Florida!
