Tropical Desert Plants in Watercolor or Color Pencils with Carlos Gallostra

DATE: Tuesday 6/9/26   TIME: 1:30pm - 4:30pm

Tuesdays, June 9 - 16, 2026 | 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm (2 Sessions)

Summer is here! Stay cool and escape the heat while we sketch in watercolor, gouache or color pencil different types of cacti and desert plants featured in our Lin Lougheed Spiny Forest of Madagascar exhibit. Discover the beauty that can be found in flowering tropical succulent trees and shrubs from the comforts of an indoor setting.

Under the guidance of Carlos Gallostra, students will quickly develop dynamic and vivid illustrations in a short amount of time, while mastering methods in tonal shading, coloring, and layering. All levels are welcome!

The program fee does not include materials. Please click here to view the syllabus with the complete list of suggested and required supplies.

Tickets are nonrefundable. This class runs rain or shine.
